ERBORIAN CC Creams are renowned for their ability to blend skincare benefits with lightweight coverage, offering a natural, radiant finish.
Selecting the right one depends on your skin tone, concerns, and desired effect.
So what exactly is a CC Cream?
ERBORIAN CC Creams feature colour-adapting pigments that adjust to your skin tone upon application. The available shades include:
Clair: Ideal for fair skin with pink undertones
Dore: Suited for medium skin tones with golden undertone
Caramel: Designed for deeper skin tones
For those with fair skin prone to redness, the ERBORIAN CC Red Corrector is a green-tinted cream that neutralizes redness and adopts to your skin tone, providing a natural finish.
- Redness and Rosacea: The CC Red Corrector is enriched with Centella Asiatica, known for its soothing properties, making it effective for calming redness and irritation.
- Dullness: The CC Dull Corrector contains violet pigments to counteract yellow undertones, brightening the complexion for more luminous appearance.
- Sensitive skin: Users with sensitive skin have reported positive experiences with ERBORIAN CC Creams, noting their gentle formulation and skin-soothing benefits.
Here are some of my personal application tips to get the best results from ERBORIAN CC Creams, whether you are using the classic CC creams, CC Red Corrector or CC Dull Corrector.

- Prep your skin
Cleanse and moisturize as usual to ensure your skin is hydrated. If you have dry skin, a rich moisturizer or hydrating primer helps CC Creams blend smoothly. For oily skin, use ERBORIAN Matte Cream primer to reduce shine.
- Apply a small amount
ERBORIAN CC Creams contain encapsulated pigments that adjust to your skin tone. You only need a pea-sized amount. Dot the product onto your forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin.
- Blend with fingers
This method works best for me. The warmth of your fingers helps break the pigment capsules for better tone matching. Gently massage and blend outwards in circular motion.
You can use alternative tools, but it will give you different results.
Brush: Gives a more airbrushed look, but will require more blending
Sponge: Ideal for a sheerer, dewier look but can absorb more product.
- Build as needed
Want more coverage? Apply a second thin layer where needed, especially on red or uneven areas. You can also pair with ERBORIAN Super BB Concealer or BB Cream if you want a bit more coverage without heaviness.
- Set or Glow
For a matte finish lightly set with translucent powder. For a glow, leave as it is or add highlighter to the high points of your face.
